Matviyenko suggests tourist fee for all Russia’s regions

MOSCOW, Nov 18 (PRIME) -- Russia should adopt a law on a tourist fee for all its regions, Chairwoman of Russia’s Federation Council, parliament’s upper house, Valentina Matviyenko said on Wednesday.

“We need a law on a tourist fee that can be used by all Russia’s regions,” she said, adding that the funds could be used to maintain the tourist infrastructure.

Earlier, Russia adopted a law on a daily fee for tourists visiting the resorts of the Stavropol and Altai regions.
